Introduction

What I want to introduce to you, is looking at the body totally differently and hopefully I can show you that if you do the right thing with the body, we can immediately get change. We have all gotten so caught up in life that we have forgotten “what the bodies priorities are”? Our body has two priorities for survival; to breathe and to move – and without both – we will die!

These are priorities of survival and what is really important, the “body” is willing to sacrifice anything in order to meet these priorities!!

What if I told you there is a simple way to fix your problem and it all starts with the way you breathe.

Do you know that most of us have no clue how to actually breath properly.

There are 3 different methods of breathing and on one of these is correct:

  1. Lateral collateral breathing,
  2. Apical breathing
  3. and the correct way is Diaphragmatic breathing.
The video above demonstrates the 3 different ways of breathing and how they affect the length of the hamstrings.

When one is not breathing correctly all sorts of things start happening in the body – the psoas shuts down, which then shuts the glutes down, which intern cause the hamstrings to tighten and shorten, the quads and the stomach muscle pull down into each other instead of expanding out.

Which then put pressure on the patella which then affects the calves and the tibialis causing them to tighten. Then the mobility, flexibility in the feet are subsequently affected.

The same thing starts happening in the upper body causing back problems, shoulder and neck pain to name a few – the whole body is imploding in on itself!
